What fits in 100 KB

One hundred kilobytes is plenty for a sharp photo up to about 600 x 750 pixels, which came to around 85 KB in our tests. Scans of printed documents compress well because of their white background, so a readable full-page scan often fits too.

For document scans, keep the text readable: crop the page edges and avoid shrinking below about 1,000 pixels on the long side if small print matters.

Questions

How do I reduce an image to 100 KB?

Choose the image, keep 100 KB as the limit and download. If you need exact pixels, choose Exact size and enter them.

Will a document stay readable at 100 KB?

Usually, for a single page with a white background. If small print looks soft, crop the margins and check the result before you submit it.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The image is compressed by your browser on your device, and nothing is sent to uncrop.si or anyone else.
