Give it an edge
Frames are drawn inside the output size. PNG or WebP keeps any transparent corners.
Remove a background colour
Best for plain backdrops. Connected removal starts at the picked pixel, or image corners. Use the brush for other areas.

Choose the file that fits
Use JPG or WebP quality to reduce file size. PNG is lossless. The actual file size appears after you download.
A conversion does not recover detail already lost from the source. Transparent pixels become white in JPG.

Colour removal, with you in control.
This tool removes matching colours, rather than using AI to recognise a person or object. It is especially useful for white product backdrops, flat illustrations, logos and simple screenshots. A cluttered outdoor scene or fine hair against a busy background usually needs more careful editing.
Connected-area mode starts at your chosen point, or at the image corners when you use the colour picker. It keeps a matching colour enclosed elsewhere in the image from being removed. All matching colours mode can also remove that colour from inside the subject, so check the preview carefully.
Tolerance controls how different a pixel can be from the sampled background colour. Edge softness makes the transition less abrupt. The erase brush removes exactly where you paint; Restore paints back from the original working copy. Undo reverses up to three background edits. The checkerboard represents transparent pixels, not a pattern added to your file.
A FEW USEFUL DETAILS
Before you download.
Is this an automatic AI background remover? +
No. It uses selected colours and manual brushing. Complex scenes may need the BYOK AI editor or careful manual work.
Why did part of my subject disappear? +
The subject may share the selected colour. Undo, reduce tolerance, use connected-area mode, or restore the affected part with the brush.
Why is the downloaded background white? +
JPG cannot hold transparency. Choose PNG or WebP for a transparent result.
