Use JPG or WebP quality to reduce file size. PNG is lossless. The actual file size appears after you download.
A conversion does not recover detail already lost from the source. Transparent pixels become white in JPG.

How to png to jpg converter.
- Choose your PNG image.
- JPG output is selected. Adjust quality and dimensions if needed.
- Download the encoded JPG file and compare its reported size.
A white background for transparent areas.
PNG can hold transparent pixels, while JPG cannot. This page selects JPG output and fills transparent areas with white. Use it when a service expects a photographic JPG or when a white-backed version of a graphic is appropriate.
Choose a quality level that keeps thin edges and small lettering readable. JPG is a lossy format, so a logo or screenshot may show ringing around sharp shapes. Converting a flat graphic is not guaranteed to make it smaller than its PNG original.
The output is a newly encoded JPG, rather than a renamed PNG. Colour changes and layers already in the editor are included in the export. Keep the original transparent PNG if you may need a different background later.
A FEW USEFUL DETAILS
Before you download.
What happens to transparency? +
Transparent pixels become white because JPG has no alpha channel. Choose PNG or WebP when transparency needs to remain.
Will JPG always be smaller? +
No. Dimensions, image detail and quality affect the size. The download message reports the actual file size.
Can I get the transparent PNG back from the JPG? +
The new JPG has flattened those pixels. Keep your original PNG for a transparent version.
