AI tool, 3 free rewrites a day
AI humanizer: humanize AI text so it reads naturally
Turn stiff AI text into plain, natural writing. Paste a draft written or polished with AI and get a rewrite built to keep your facts, names, links and formatting; the phrase and dash checks run on your device.
- Rewrites in your language
- Sent only when you press Rewrite
- Checks run on your device
Stock phrases
The phrase list covers English for now, so a text in another language shows few matches even when it could be plainer.
Plain swaps for what was found
Sentence rhythm
A writing check, not an AI detector: people use these phrases too, and it gives no score.
Use this to polish writing that is yours to share. If your school, employer or publisher limits AI or asks you to say when you used it, follow their rules. This tool does not remove AI labels or disclosures, and we make no promise about what any AI detector will say. The AI tools are meant for adults (18 and over).

The rewrite
Rewritten by AI. Read it through, check names, numbers and facts, and make it sound like you.
Check these before you use it. They are in your draft but not in the rewrite:
Words taken out are struck through; words added are underlined.

How to humanize AI text in three steps
Paste or open your draft
Paste up to 1,000 words (fewer in some languages), or open a .txt file. Check phrases shows the stiff spots first.
Pick a mode and press Rewrite
Natural suits most text. The rewrite usually takes a few seconds.
Read it and make it yours
Edit the result, look at the changes and check anything listed as missing, then copy or download it.
What the rewrite changes, and what it keeps
It works like a careful editor that makes AI text sound natural: it takes out the stiff, padded habits common in AI-assisted drafts and leaves the substance alone.
| Part of your draft | What the rewrite does |
|---|---|
| Stock phrases and inflated words | Says the plain thing, or cuts it |
| Filler openers, recaps and padded lists | Cuts them, so the text gets to the point |
| Sentences that all run the same length | Varies the rhythm |
| Emoji bullets and bold labels | Turns them into plain bullets or sentences |
| Numbers, dates, names, quotes and citations | Keeps them exactly as written |
| Links, emails, @mentions, hashtags and code | Keeps them exactly as written |
| Placeholders such as [Your Name], headings, lists and tables | Keeps them where they are |
| Your language and spelling | Keeps them, and never translates |
It keeps your hedges too: if your draft says a plan may work, the rewrite does not say it will. It adds no facts, examples or opinions of its own.
Four modes, one example
Every mode keeps the meaning; only the voice changes. Here is one stiff sentence of our own, "We are pleased to inform you that your request has been successfully processed.", in each mode:
| Mode | Best for | The sentence becomes |
|---|---|---|
| Natural | Most text, with everyday contractions. The default. | Good news: we've processed your request. |
| Simple | Short sentences and everyday words. | We have finished your request. |
| Professional | Work email, reports and documents. | Your request has been processed. |
| Casual | Messages and relaxed posts, with no added slang. | All done, your request went through. |
Check your draft on your device first
Three checks run in your browser, and your text stays on your device. They are free, with no daily limit:
- The stock phrase check marks words and phrases that make writing sound stiff, such as "delve into", grouped by kind, with a plain swap for each. It counts matches and gives no score.
- The long dash fixer swaps em and en dashes for commas, "to" in number ranges, or hyphens, and Undo puts them back.
- Sentence rhythm shows your sentence count, average length and how much the length varies. Text where every sentence runs the same length reads flat.
This is a writing check, not an AI detector: people use these phrases too, so a match says nothing about who wrote a text. The list is our own, built from research on words that became far more common after AI chat tools spread (sources below). It covers English for now.
Our guide to the signs of AI writing goes through every group the check marks, with a plain swap for each word and before and after examples.
What is sent, and what we keep
Your text stays on your device while you type, paste or run the checks. When you press Rewrite, your draft and the mode go through uncrop.si's server to the AI service we use, which sends the rewrite back. We keep neither, and the AI service is not allowed to train AI models on them.
For each rewrite we log counts only (the mode, words in and out, language, cost and time) with a pseudonymous code that changes every day, and delete that log after 30 days. Google Analytics counts which buttons are used, with ranges such as how many phrases a check found, never your text. The details are on our privacy and terms page.
Use it honestly
Do not use it to hand in work as your own where AI is not allowed, to write fake reviews or posts, or to mislead anyone about who wrote something. The AI tools on uncrop.si are meant for adults (18 and over).
Works in your language
The rewrite comes back in the language you paste, with your regional spelling (US or UK English, Brazilian or European Portuguese), and never translates; a draft that mixes languages keeps each part as it is. It handles Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Indonesian, Hindi, Japanese and many more.
Languages written without spaces between words are measured in characters instead: about 4,400 to 4,900 per rewrite in Chinese, 4,800 to 5,400 in Japanese and 5,400 to 5,500 in Thai, depending on the text. Hindi, Persian and Urdu get the full 1,000 words, and Arabic, Marathi and Nepali about 830 to 1,000. Where words are long in their own script, fewer fit in one rewrite: about 500 words in Malayalam, 530 to 640 in Kannada or Telugu, 630 to 760 in Odia, Tamil or Bengali, and 750 to 950 in Gujarati, Punjabi or Sinhala, depending on the text. The counter shows how many fit in your language, and the page tells you before anything is sent, so you can split the draft.
AI humanizer or paraphrasing tool?
A paraphrasing tool rewords text, often sentence by sentence, and can drift from what you meant. This edits for natural reading and keeps your meaning, structure and facts.
Starting from a picture? Image to text and screenshot to text copy the words into a box you can paste here, and translate an image handles other languages. The AI image checker reads the AI labels and Content Credentials a picture carries.
Questions
Is it free, and what are the limits?
Yes: 3 free rewrites a day without signing up, each up to 1,000 words, and the count resets at midnight UTC. Hindi, Persian and Urdu get the full 1,000 words, and Arabic, Marathi and Nepali about 830 to 1,000. Fewer fit in languages whose words are long in their own script: about 500 in Malayalam, 530 to 760 in Kannada, Telugu, Odia, Tamil or Bengali, and 750 to 950 in Gujarati, Punjabi or Sinhala. Chinese, Japanese and Thai are counted in characters: about 4,400 to 4,900 in Chinese, 4,800 to 5,400 in Japanese and 5,400 to 5,500 in Thai, depending on the text. Tries the AI declines, cuts off or cannot finish are not counted, but a text that reads as an instruction rather than a draft is. To stop misuse, each device gets up to 8 tries a day, counted or not.
Do you store my text?
No. Your draft is sent only when you press Rewrite, and we keep neither the draft nor the rewrite, only counts such as the number of words.
Will it change my facts or meaning?
It is built to keep them, and the page lists any number, link or quote missing from the result. AI can still make mistakes, so read it before you use it.
Does it keep my formatting?
It keeps paragraphs, line breaks and Markdown such as headings, lists, tables, links and code. Bold or colors pasted from a word processor are not kept, as the box holds plain text.
Which languages does it work in?
Most languages: it rewrites in the language you paste, keeps your regional spelling and never translates.
What do the four modes do?
Natural is clear and warm, Simple is short and plain, Professional is polished and direct, and Casual is relaxed, and all four keep your meaning.
Does it tell me whether AI wrote my text?
No. It does not detect AI writing and gives no score.
Will it pass an AI detector?
We do not build or test it for that, and no tool can promise it. Detectors change often and can also flag text people wrote themselves. If you may need to show how you wrote something, keep your notes and earlier drafts.
Is using an AI humanizer cheating?
It depends on the rules where you hand the text in. Editing your own draft for clarity is normal writing help. Using it to pass off work as your own where AI is not allowed breaks those rules, and this tool is not made for that.
Is this an AI to human text converter?
It edits AI-assisted text so it sounds natural and keeps your facts. It is an editor, so read the result and make it yours.
