How to crop an image.
- Choose a photo or try the demo.
- Pick a ratio or drag across the picture to select the area you want.
- Check the output dimensions and download PNG, JPG or WebP.
A tighter frame, on your terms.
A crop removes the edges you do not want to include. It can bring a subject forward, straighten the composition after rotation, or make a wide photo fit a square thumbnail. The shaded crop guide shows exactly which part will remain.
Use a 1:1 square for an avatar, 4:5 portrait for a taller composition, or 16:9 for a wide cover. The numeric controls give you a more precise selection than dragging on a small screen. Cropping does not add missing detail or improve the source resolution.
If the whole picture needs to stay visible, use the fit-without-cropping tool instead. It adds a border around the image. You can also switch to Text or Frame in this editor to finish your cropped image before downloading.

No. The crop creates a new download. Your original image stays unchanged.
Can I crop to exact dimensions? +
Select the region first, then use Resize to set the output width and height. Keep the aspect-ratio lock on to avoid stretching.
Is any part of the crop sent to a server? +
No. Cropping and downloads are processed in this browser.
