Image to Excel

Turn a photo or screenshot of a table into a spreadsheet. The AI reads every row and column, and plain numbers arrive as numbers you can add up.

How to convert an image to Excel

  1. Add a photo of the table

Drop it on the page, choose it, or paste it with Ctrl + V.

  2. Choose what you want

Plain text, a Word file, an Excel sheet or a translation.

  3. Press Read

The AI reads the image, usually in a few seconds.

  4. Download the sheet

Check the result, edit it if needed, then copy it or download it.

Numbers you can work with

Plain numbers, with or without thousands separators such as 1,250.00 or 1,25,000, become real numbers in Excel, so totals and formulas work. Amounts with currency signs, dates and codes stay as text exactly as printed, so nothing changes by mistake.

Several tables and other text

If the image holds more than one table, each one gets its own sheet in the Excel file. Text outside the tables, such as a heading or a note, appears under the result. You can also copy the table and paste it into Excel or Google Sheets as cells.

For the most accurate result

Photograph the page flat and straight on, in good light, without shadows or glare, and fill the frame with the text. One page per photo works best. For a long page, crop it into two halves and read each one.

Questions

Is image to Excel free?

Yes. You get 3 free reads a day without signing up, and each image you read counts as one. The count resets at midnight UTC.

Is my image uploaded?

Only when you press Read. Your browser first makes a smaller copy of the image without its location or camera details, then sends it to the AI service we use, which reads it and sends the text back. We keep neither the image nor the text. Every other tool on uncrop.si works on your device and sends nothing.

Will numbers be numbers in Excel?

Plain numbers, including ones with thousands separators, become numbers. Amounts with currency signs, dates and codes stay as text exactly as printed.

Can I paste it into Google Sheets?

Yes. Copy for Excel puts the table on your clipboard as cells, which paste into Excel or Google Sheets.

How accurate is it?

Clear printed text and screenshots come out close to word for word. Handwriting, faded print, glare and very small text are harder, so check names, numbers and dates before you rely on them.

Can I convert bank statements?

Read only what you are happy to share with an AI service. For ID cards, passports or bank documents, crop the image to the part you need first.
