WebP supports transparency, so it can be a useful export for a PNG logo, cutout or graphic that needs to sit on a web background. This page selects WebP output and preserves transparent areas supported by the source and edits.
The quality slider controls this editor’s lossy WebP encoding. A lower setting can reduce file size but may affect small text, gradients and fine outlines. Use a higher quality when sharp graphic detail matters, and inspect the exported result.
A smaller file is not guaranteed. PNG may already be efficient for a small flat graphic, while WebP often gives a different balance for more detailed images. The output message shows the actual encoded size so you can compare it with your original PNG.
