THREE SMALL STEPS

How to rotate or flip an image.

  1. Open your image.
  2. Rotate left or right, or choose a horizontal or vertical flip.
  3. Check the new dimensions and download.

A quick turn, a different perspective.

Quarter-turn rotation changes a landscape photo into portrait orientation without cutting away its edges. Two quarter turns produce a 180-degree rotation. A horizontal flip creates a mirror image; a vertical flip reverses the top and bottom. These changes affect the saved pixels, not just an orientation tag.

Text and logos are mirrored when the whole image is flipped. If they need to remain readable, add new text after adjusting the orientation. You can combine rotation with cropping, resizing, frames and colour adjustments inside this editor.

The output width and height switch when you rotate by 90 or 270 degrees. Check the dimensions before exporting, particularly if another service expects a specific size. This tool uses quarter turns; it does not currently provide arbitrary-angle straightening.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Before you download.

Does rotating crop the edges? +

Quarter-turn rotation keeps the whole selected crop. It does not add another crop.

What is the difference between rotate and flip? +

Rotation turns the image; flipping mirrors it across an axis.

Can I undo the orientation? +

Rotate again, press the same flip button, or use Reset edits to return to the working original.
