THREE SMALL STEPS

How to add a photo frame.

  1. Choose your photo.
  2. Pick a frame style, width and colour; adjust rounded corners if you like.
  3. Add a caption or resize, then download the finished image.

A small border makes room to breathe.

A frame separates a photo from the background where it will be displayed. Use a narrow border for a restrained finish, a double line for a decorative edge, or an instant-photo style with extra room underneath. The frame is included in the downloaded pixels.

Frame width is a percentage of the shorter canvas edge. That keeps the border in proportion when you resize. The frame sits inside the chosen output dimensions, so it does not unexpectedly enlarge the final file. If you need to preserve the photograph’s exact proportions, choose matching output dimensions before adding a frame.

Rounded corners reveal transparency when no solid frame is present. PNG and WebP can keep those transparent areas; JPG fills them with white. Use Text to place a caption in an instant-photo border, and check the whole preview before exporting.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Before you download.

Can I choose my own border colour? +

Yes. Use the colour picker. Double frames also have a separate accent colour.

Will the frame increase output dimensions? +

No. It is drawn inside the selected width and height.

Which format keeps rounded corners transparent? +

PNG or WebP. JPG cannot store transparency.
