Make an image between 50 KB and 100 KB
For forms that want a file of at least 50 KB and at most 100 KB. The tool lands inside the range and tells you if a small image cannot reach the minimum.
- Above 50 KB, below 100 KB
- Declarations and photos
- Check a file before you upload
Centimetres and inches use the DPI below, or 200 DPI if none is set, and that DPI is written into the JPG so it prints at this size.

How to resize image 50 KB to 100 KB
Choose the image
A photo, or a handwritten declaration photographed on plain paper.
Keep 50 to 100 KB
It is set already. Change the numbers if your notice differs.
Enter the pixel size if given
800 x 400 suits a handwritten declaration; 413 x 531 is a 35 x 45 mm photo at 300 DPI.
Save the file
Then drop it into Check my file, which shows the size both ways a site may count it.
Forms that use 50 to 100 KB
Two examples from official pages we checked:
- Arunachal Pradesh PSC (one time registration): photo 50 to 100 KB, JPG or JPEG.
- Punjab & Sind Bank (recruitment, 2024): handwritten declaration 50 to 100 KB at 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI, which is 10 x 5 cm.
The bank wants the declaration written in English, in black ink on white paper, and it does not accept it in capital letters.
A handwritten declaration at 800 x 400
We made a test image of the bank declaration text in handwriting-style lettering on a paper texture, then fitted it into 50 to 100 KB at 800 x 400 pixels. It came to 68.9 KB at quality 95 with the paper whitened, and 68.5 KB without. Writing on paper has enough edges to clear 50 KB easily at this size.
If yours comes out under 50 KB, the writing is probably too small or too faint for the frame. Write larger so the lines fill the width, and photograph the page in daylight.
Photos in 50 to 100 KB
For photos the minimum decides the pixel size. Our two test photos in the range:
| Size | Portrait, soft background | Busy street photo |
|---|---|---|
| 413 x 531 | 55.6 KB at quality 95 | 96.5 KB at quality 91 |
| 600 x 750 | 92.3 KB at quality 93 | 98.2 KB at quality 67 |
| Keep or shrink (tool picks) | 97.2 KB, full 960 x 1280 | 99.9 KB at 819 x 546 |
The portrait at 413 x 531 cleared the 50 KB minimum only at quality 95. Smaller sizes would fall short with a plain background, so give a 50 to 100 KB photo at least 400 to 600 pixels across.

Questions
How do I convert a photo to between 50 KB and 100 KB?
Choose it here: the range is already set. The download will be above 51,200 bytes and below 100,000, inside the range however the site counts.
What pixel size is a 50 KB to 100 KB photo?
From about 413 x 531 to 800 x 1000 in our tests, depending on the photo. A busy scene fills 100 KB at around 600 x 750; a calm portrait needs more pixels to reach 50 KB.
How do I increase an image to 50 KB without changing the pixels?
Only by raising the quality, which the tool does first. If the image is still under 50 KB at full quality, it does not hold 50 KB of picture at that size. Some tools then pad the file with empty data; we do not, because it adds nothing a form needs. A larger pixel size is the real fix.
Can I get a PDF between 50 and 100 KB?
This page makes JPG files. For a PDF use JPG to PDF under 100 KB, and start from a sharp, full-size photo of the page so the PDF does not fall under the minimum.
What about 50 KB to 200 KB?
Type 50 in Min and 200 in Max. Any range works the same way; the chips are only shortcuts.
Will a declaration stay readable?
Yes at 800 x 400. Our test declaration used quality 95 inside the range, so the writing stayed as sharp as the photo it came from.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser and stays on your device.
