- Cutting lines included

Brightness and background tools are off for official passport and visa photos, because passport offices reject edited photos. Retake the photo in even light against a plain light wall instead.

How to make a 4x6 passport photo sheet
Pick the photo you need
Choose the country and document. The frame and guides change to its official size.
Add a photo of your face
Taken straight on, in even light, against a plain light wall. A phone photo is fine.
Line it up
Tap the top of the head and the chin. The tool sizes and centres the head, then you can fine tune.
Download or print
Save the digital photo for an online form, or a 4 x 6 in or A4 sheet of copies to print.
What fits on a 4 x 6 print
A 4 x 6 inch print (102 x 152 mm) holds 8 photos of 35 x 45 mm, 2 US photos of 2 x 2 inches, or 4 Chinese visa photos of 33 x 48 mm. The tool leaves 3 mm at the edges, which borderless printing can trim, and 2 mm between photos for cutting.
The JPG is 1800 x 1200 pixels at 300 DPI, the standard size for 4 x 6 photo prints, so a photo shop prints it at exactly the right scale.
How the guides work
The frame has the exact shape of the photo you picked. A red line marks where the top of the head should be, and a green band shows where the chin must land so the head is the size the rules allow. For a US visa photo a blue band also marks the eye line.
Choose Line it up for me, tap the top of the head and then the bottom of the chin, and the tool scales the photo so the head sits in the middle of the allowed range, centres it, and straightens a small tilt. Drag, scroll or pinch to fine tune. The keyboard works too: arrow keys move the photo, plus and minus zoom.
Printing it yourself
Use the PDF on 4 x 6 photo paper. Print the PDF at 100 % or Actual size, not Fit to page, so every photo comes out at exactly the right size. Then cut along the thin grey lines. Some countries ask for lab prints: Australia, for example, accepts only dye-sublimation prints, not inkjet.
