Bulk QR codes from a list or spreadsheet

Paste one link or text per line, straight from Excel or Google Sheets, and download every code in one zip. Each code is read back before it goes in, and an index file lists what each image holds.

How to make QR codes in bulk

    1. Copy the column

In your spreadsheet, select the cells with the links or text, one per row, and copy them.

    2. Paste, with names if you have them

Paste into the box. If a second column holds file names, copy both columns and tick the file name option.

    3. Pick the look and size

Colors, module style, a logo, a frame and the PNG size all apply to every code in the batch.

    4. Make them and download

Press Make the codes, watch the progress bar, then download one zip with every image and an index.csv file.

Preparing the list in Excel or Google Sheets

Put what each code should hold in column A and, if you want named files, the name in column B. Select both columns and copy: the cells arrive here separated by a tab, which the file name option understands. Names are cleaned up for use as file names, and every file starts with its line number, so the zip sorts in the order of your sheet.

For numbered links, let the spreadsheet build them. A formula such as ="https://example.com/table/"&ROW() filled down a column gives one address per table, room or product. Check a few of the finished links in a browser before you make the codes.

    What is in the zip

One file per line, plus an index you can merge into labels or a mail merge:

Files in the bulk QR code zip
    FileHolds
001-name.pngThe QR code as a PNG at the size you chose, one per line
001-name.svgThe same code as a vector, when you pick SVG or both
index.csvEach file name, the exact text inside the code, and whether it passed the scan check

A line that cannot be encoded, for example text too long for one QR code, is marked in index.csv instead of stopping the batch.

    Common bulk jobs

People use bulk codes for many small jobs. A few, with what each line usually holds:

Restaurant tablesThe menu link with the table number, such as ?table=12Print 5 cm codes on table tents
Asset or inventory tagsAn asset ID or a link to its recordUse error correction Q for labels that get handled

    Questions

How many QR codes can I make at once?

Up to 500 per batch. For more, split the list and run it again; there is no daily limit.

Can I make QR codes straight from an Excel file?

Copy the column from Excel and paste it here. We do not open .xlsx files, which also means your spreadsheet never leaves your computer.

Can I give each file its own name?

Yes. Put the name after the content, separated by a tab or comma, and tick the file name option. Copying two spreadsheet columns does this for you.

Can the bulk codes have a logo and colors?

Yes. Every design option, including the logo, frame and colors, applies to the whole batch.

    Can I bulk-generate Wi-Fi or contact codes?

Each line is encoded exactly as typed. A Wi-Fi line in the WIFI: format works; contact cards span several lines, so make those one at a time on the vCard QR code page.

    Do bulk QR codes expire?

No. Each one is static, with its content inside the pattern, just like a single code.

    Is my list uploaded?

No. The codes and the zip are made in your browser; nothing is sent to uncrop.si.
